The European sales office will be led by Klaas Desot, a seasoned sales and business development executive with streaming technology experience and thorough knowledge of the industry.
According to a study by the European Audiovisual Observatory, the market for paid VOD services (SVOD and TVOD) has exploded in the last 10 years, with revenues rising from EUR 388.8 million in 2010 to EUR 11.6 billion in 2020, -mainly- due to the increase in revenues from SVOD, from EUR 12 million in 2010 to EUR 9.7 billion in 2020.
Since 2017, Mediastream employees are used to work remotely, and in 2020, this method of working has been introduced for all employees. Currently, it has working teams in the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, and Spain. The opening of the office in Madrid corresponds to the start of activities and exclusive representation for the European market.
